Jeanine Bermel

Attorney, Korein Tillery

Speaker Bio

I entered the legal industry at the start of the 80's recession, a time when litigation and bankruptcy prevailed. The term "eDiscovery" had yet to be coined. We battled over paper, wielding weapons like sticky notes, manila folders, index cards, redaction tape, and manual Bates number machines. Fast-forward several years. As the volume of electronic data exploded, so did the demand for its production, and with it, the advent of litigation support software.Appreciation of ESI issues, and available technology to manage ESI, are essential basics to an efficient and effective litigation practice. Born of necessity, my passion for this area has evolved over nearly three decades. In my daily practice, I consult with attorneys, legal professionals and clients on a multitude of pretrial discovery issues, most of which relate directly or indirectly to ESI, and mentor colleagues who understand the ever-growing importance of technology in our field.
