LIE227581 - Will Artificial Intelligence Supplant the Practice of Law? The 2015 Lola decision may have opened a can of worms. The court determined that some tasks performed by attorneys might not need the skill of an attorney. Does this mean that AI may soon be part of your legal representation? A recent law review article examined the likelihood of AI entering the legal sphere and what that might look like. With AI making waves throughout the legal world, is e-discovery next? This panel will discuss research resulting from the Lola case and predict the direction practice will take in conjunction with AI. You'll get a glimpse at what the future holds in store for the practice of law.

This session has been submitted for CLE accreditation.
